CHERYL - Penang Botanical Garden Photoshoot

Hello,

Just came back from the trip in Beijing during the winter. Super cold when it’s near to Chinese New Year. Nevertheless it’s still an experience following my school trip.

Love the weather there miss the weather there and far most of all I miss the presence of my friends there. Our last trip together.

On this set of photos I did not bring my dslr , my work horse there to Beijing because I was lazy. Honestly, brining big stuff ain’t about capturing nice and quality but small things like recent purchase of mine the X100 got me these outcome in set. I am glad and as well proud of myself.

Starting to love this toy X100 completely, it’s small and light and portable. Can camwhore with people and point and shoot everywhere.

A new year , the first photoshoot I actually carry out. Thanks to Shevie who’s from KL came down Penang for her boyfriend ChingYu.

She contacted me through ModelMayhem. aw! Didn’t know that actually helped. But it was a great night shoot with sharing some of our concept.

For this round I did more towards collage + story telling hopefully it gives a message to everyone ;)

Love the outcome , but there’s still alot to improve. Do give comments and critiques below!

0 PENANG ft STREET PHOTOS - Fujifilm X100

Hello,

Spent my entire morning walking around Penang to capture the Street Photos with my new Fujifilm X100 after reading the review from Zack Arias, I gotta say it’s really a small camera and not so disturbing on others when I am taking my shot although there are still people shooing me off while I am taking photos.

Everything was good except for the focusing it’s slow, wasted a few moments because of this but nevertheless this is a great camera for street shooting!

Just an update of my outcome of beauty dish shots, 3 days back I’ve purchased a 55cm beauty dish just dedicated for this photoshoot but I am very satisfied with it’s outcome :)

This studio offers a variety of lighting set up you are able to do but for this above picture I’ve used one big softbox and one octabox sorry I am not so sure about it. With the great studio set up they have they offer it in a very cheap rate per hour.

Thats the key, offering good quality of lights and giving a decent rate which is RM55/hour.
